The world’s most majestic tall ships and distinguished gray hull vessels will gather in an unprecedented fleet, sailing into New York Harbor for a Presidential review and a ceremonial salute to the Statue of Liberty.
Continuing the proud tradition of landmark commemorations — the 1976 Bicentennial, the 1986 Statue of Liberty Centennial, the 1992 Columbus Quincentennial, the 2000 Millennium celebration, and the 2012 Bicentennial of The Star-Spangled Banner — international fleets will arrive in spectacular fashion and remain for a week in the heart of the nation’s first capital.
Sailors from around the globe will unite in a shared celebration of freedom, hope, and opportunity — enduring ideals that have long defined the American spirit.
